As the name suggests processed foods are those which are commercially prepared food designed for easy consumption. They are mostly present in packaged form especially in boxes, cans and bags. This kind of food particles are not found naturally, they are extensively prepared to be edible. These kinds of foods are prepared including various processing steps including additives, artificial flavoring agents and chemical ingredients. These foods must be served optional as there are much better substitutes available such as natural whole grain food.
There are many valid reasons which are more than enough to stay away from the processed foods:-

- Processed foods contain extra amount of sugar, salt and other flavoring ingredients which may ruin our taste buds and we used to forget the taste of natural foods that does not taste as good as processed foods.
- The technique of processing is a multiple step process during which most of the essential nutritional elements of the natural food products were extracted and packaged for use in restraints.
